Mildred Hinrichs, 86, of 816 Porter Ave Eau Claire, WI and formally of Cedar Rapids died Friday December 12, 2008 in Eau Claire after a long illness.

Services 2:00 P.M. Monday December 22, 2008 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids by Reverend Jonathan Offt. Entombment will be at Cedar Memorial Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M Sunday December 21, 2008 at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.

Survivors include a daughter Barbara (Mike) Huggins of Eau Claire, WI, two grandsons, Michael J.B. Huggins and Matthew F.C. Huggins and a granddaughter Elizabeth A.C. Huggins.

Mildred is preceded in death by her husband John H.C. Hinrichs, her parents, and three brothers, William Werning, Kenneth Werning, and Gerald (Pete) Werning.

Mildred was born January 30, 1922 in Newhall, IA to Fred and Anna Werning. She married John H.C. Hinrichs on May 18, 1947 in Cedar Rapids. Mildred retired as assistant cashier at Peoples Bank after 43 years of service in 1984. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, St Lukes Auxillary, Womens Club and Elmcrest before she moved to be with famly in Eau Claire, where she was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
