Elmer Ester Clark, a retired carpenter and plumber, died Thursday night, Feb. 7, 1991, at his home, 1422 Alexander Ave. A Chillicothe resident the past 22 years, he was 88.
A Polo native, he was born June 5, 1902, the son of Ira F. and Rachel Teegarden Clark . Mr. Clark attended school in Polo and Excelsior Springs and moved to Breckenridge in 1929.

He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. On Aug. 8, 1923, in Liberty, he married Ruth F. King. She survives at the Livingston Manor Nursing Home.

Other survivors are three sons, John Thomas and Frankie, both of Breckenridge, and George E. of Fayetteville, NC.; three daughters, Dorothy L. Neihaus of Breckenridge, Rosie Prothero of Jamesport and Maxine Prothero of Chillicothe; two sisters, Rita Jacobs of Chillicothe and Juanita Jacobs of Wichita, Kan., and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 10 a.m. at Norman-Wagy-Singer-Gordon Funer al Home. Calling will be Monday, Feb. 11, after 8 a.m. and visitation will be from 6:30 to 7 :30 p.m. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Breckenridge.
