Cookeville Graveside services for Johnny Howard Allison, 90, of Cookeville, will be held at 5 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 5, at Cookeville City Cemetery. Mr. Allison died Tuesday, July 4, 2006, in Bethesda Health Care Center.
He was born December 22, 1915, in Putnam County to the late John Laremore and Hattie Moss Allison. He was an electrician at Borden Electric Company.
His family includes a daughter, Johnnie Ruth Maddux Knowles of Cookeville; a son, allen Howard Allison of Cookeville; a sister, Golda Fagan of Missouri; two grandchildren, Johnny Maddux and Randy Allison; and a great grandchild, Regis Allison.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Albert Glen (Speedy) Allison, and a granddaughter, Ruthada Maddux Jones.
Memorial donations may be made to Lazarus House Hospice or Bloomington Springs Church of Christ. Brother Paul Fox will officiate the services. Whitson Funeral Home of Cookeville in charge of arrangements.
