Ruth Whitley married LCDR James Hall "Jim" Parish on 28 Dec 1921 in Wendell, Wake Co., NC. They were the parents of 3 children: John James "Jim" Parish; Ruth Whitley "Whit" Parish Wilson Daniel; and William Walter "Bill" Parish, III. After Jim retired from a long career in the USN, he and Ruth returned to his native Wake Co. and made their home in Wendell.
