Born Sept. 11, 1906, in Shook, son of the late John F. and Bell Parrish Helm, he lived for many years in Kirkwood where he was a foreman for Wagner Electric. He moved to Wappapello in 1987 and attended the Apostolic Church in Puxico.
On April 17, 1937, he married Edith Eleda Haire who preceded him in death on Sept. 20, 1991.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Leo Helm, Herman Helm and Norman Helm; and two sisters, Goldie Ricktor and Lucille Rickman.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including his caregiver, Patsy Dillon.
Visitation was until service time at 11 a.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. The Rev. David Skinner of Puxico officiated.
Burial followed in the Helm Cemetery near Wappapello.
