DECATUR - Thomas A. Fryman, 44, of Decatur died Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at Sharon United Methodist Church in Decatur. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Decatur.

Memorials may be made to the Education Fund for Will Fryman at Hickory Point Bank or Sharon United Methodist Church.

Tom was born Oct. 22, 1964, in Decatur, the son of William F. and Verneal Jane (Rentfro) Fryman. He married Linnea VanWingeren on Aug. 10, 2002, in Grandville, Ky.

Tom graduated from Millikin University in 1986. He then worked as a materials manager for GSI. He was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Linnea of Decatur; a son, William "Will" J. Fryman of Decatur; parents, William "Bill" and Verneal Jane Fryman of Decatur; brothers, William Michael (wife, Diane L.), Douglas F. (wife, Dina) and Steven K. (wife, Becky) Fryman, all of Decatur, and John C. (wife, Patsy) Fryman of Danvers; three nephews; five nieces; an uncle, Keith Rentfro of Decatur; and an aunt, Virginia Alexander of Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Tom loved God, his family and friends. Despite all he has gone through, he never gave up the hope to live but knew with certainty the fact that he would live in heaven with God. Tom lived with grace, humility and a sense of humor but also knew that God had a plan. Knowing that God had a plan gave Tom a sense of security.
