Mrs. Ida Ella Bryant Deener, 78 of Springfield, formerly of Champaign, died at 1:30 a.m. February 1, 1972 at the Springfield home of her daughter, Mrs. Josephine Midiri, with whom Mrs. Deener had been making her home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Blair Funeral Home, Mahomet. Rev Sciden Bernauer will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Mahomet. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Deener was born January 11, 1894 in Adair County, Kentucky, a daughter of John and Ruthie Brockman Bryant. She was married to Luther Elmer Deener, who died in 1959. Survivors, in addition to Mrs. Madiri, are a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Huff, Mahomet; three sons, Robert, Gibson City, Ola, Black River Falls, Wisconsin and Elmer Jr, Overland Park, Kansas; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; five brothers and three sisters. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter and a son. Mrs. Deener was a member of the Baptist Church.
The children who preceded her in death were Leona Deener who was born September 26, 1913 in Russell County, Kentucky and Clarence A. Deener who was born in Champaign on May 17, 1926 and died in August 1968.
