Florence Burke, 85, of Kincaid died at 7:58 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 1997, at St. Vincent Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Burke was born September 8, 1911 in Logan, the daughter of Clarence and Maudie (Sanders) Bell. She married John P. Burke on August 11, 1934 in Springfield. He preceded her in death on January 10, 1972. Mrs. Burke was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are four daughters, Barbara (husband, Ronald) Bucshon of Kincaid, Elizabeth (husband, William) Hager and Kathleen Bowman, both of Taylorville, and Carol Sue (husband, William Sr.) Geter of Cartwright, Oklahoma; one son, Phillip Burke of Taylorville; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Noel Bell Sr.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 1997, at Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid. Rev. Michael Branch officiated, with burial following at Calvary Cemetery in Pawnee.
Pallbearers were Larry Bucshon, Douglas Bucshon, Charles William Hager II, Kirk Hager, Traviss Burke, William Hyslope and Dustin Geter.
