W. A. Hamilton
Clinton - W. Arthur Hamilton, 63, died suddenly Monday morning at his home near Clonton after two years of declining health.
He was a native of North Carolina but had lived in Laurens County for a number of years. He was a son of the late J. R. V. Hamilton and Arlissa Lowe Hamilton. He was a Baptist and a Mason.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hanna Bigham Hamilton; four sons, Arthur Hamilton Jr. of the U. S. Air Force in Formosa, James Kenneth Hamilton of the U.S. Air Force in San Antonia, Tx, Neely Eugene Hamilton of Clinton and Jack Hamilton of the home: four daughters, Mrs. Jack Atkinson of Detroit, Misc., Miss Fayetta Hamilton of Detroit, Mrs. Richard Brewer of Clinton and Elizabeth Hamilton of the home; a brother Baxter Hamilton of Farner, Tenn; five sisters, Mrs. Annie Colman of Cedar Town, Ga., Mrs. Mae McBrayer of Hampton, Va., Mrs. Bonnie Barnett of Roan Mountain, Tenn and Mrs. Vee Jory of Clinton; and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 4 p. pm at Leesville Methodist Church by Rev. Jerry A. Hutchins and Rev. George Howell. Burial will be held in Rosemont Cemetery in Clinton.
The body will be taken to the home at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday. Gray Funeral Home is in charge.
