MSGR J. Douglas Courville, pastor of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, will conduct the services. Readers will be Courtney Grauvogl and Courtney Saucier. Kodi Haydel and Traci Peltier will serve as giftbearers.
Betty belonged to the St. Martin de Tours Catholic Daughters. She attended mass daily and spent many hours in the Adoration Chapel. Her hobbies included photography and traveling. She loved seeing the world. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, especially the little ones. Using her photography skills, the babies were often the focus of attention.
She is survived by her sister, Claire Haydel of St. Martinville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert L. and Louisiana deBlanc Durand; her brothers, Albert F. Durand, Gerard F. Durand, Allan B. Durand, and Francis L. Durand; her sisters, Mary Margaret D. Andrepont, Teresa D. Patin, Stephanie D. Landry and Catherine D. Champagne.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Champange, Timothy Ryder, Sean Champagne, Paxton Haydel, Kyle Haydel and Ryan Haydel.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
