Ralph Carson, Rt. 5, Jonesboro, age 83, died at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday morning after a brief illness. He was a native of Washington County and son of the late Brooks C. and Ellen Campbell Carson.
He was member of the Leesburg Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one son, Scott Carson of Johnson City; one daughter, Mrs. Blanche C. Maloney of Telford; two grandchildren, Jackie Maloney and Jimmy Carson.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday from the chapel of the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. William E. Allen officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
