Mary Anna was born in Good Hope ,Illinois , to Joseph Price Griffin and Elizabeth Clister Griffin September 18,1865

Died in Alvin , Texas

At home with daughter Ruth Anne. Grandchildren and great grandchildren. All I can remember is there was a lot of people there, and I had to keep all the children away from
the adults.

Married Claus Henry on June 19, 1884

They had 10 children

Clara Elizabeth Feb. 12,1886 - June 27, 1976
William Joseph Aug. 12,1887 - April 18, 1974
George Washington Feb. 22,1889 - May 23, 1978
Mary Caroline April 22, 1891 - March 23, 1986
Ruth Anne June 15, 1893 - Jan.7, 1982 ( MY grand mother)

Then they adoped Claus Henry Half Brother's two sons

Then she was a nurse .

She was 85 Years old when she died.

When I was a little girl I remember going to live with Grandma Koster , and Little Grandma Sanders. Little grandma took care of Big grandma she was bed ridden about her last 8 years .Boy could she ever make doll clothes. She got blind but she still made our dolls clothes. And my baby sister learn to crawl on her bed and walk, but my other sister and I could not go in her room.

It's funny how things come back to you. But we lived at Five Points until grandma Koster died in 1950.

My brother got a job . He saved his money so our baby sister could go to kindergarten. Mom was working and making our clothes. I guess times were realy hard back then
we didn't know any better . My brother got a job at 8 yr.s old working on a dairy. I cleaned the neighbors house .
