Ratha Godfrey was born July 10, 1924 in Lamar Co., AL to James Albert & Ethel Mae Price Godfrey. Her mother stated "Ratha was a beautiful red headed, brown eyed girl". She died from Colitis Aug 14, 1926 before any pictures were ever taken. When Ratha became so sick, Dr. Albert William Clanton, tried so hard to save her. Ratha's mother stated he stayed for four days and nights and never left her. Dr. Clanton had a true Doctor's heart.
