Emma Morgan –
Emma Jones, daughter of John Q. and Irene Jones, was born June 8, 1865, near Minburn, Iowa, in Dallas county, and passed away October 18, 1959, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital at the age of 94 years, four months, and 10 days.
She was a member of the Methodist church for many years, and attended Sunday School and church as long as her health permitted.
She was united in marriage to William Morgan on May11, 1881. To this union were born two sons and two daughters. The husband, the two sons, and two granddaughters preceded her in death.
She was a life member of the Order of Eastern Star at Earlham, Iowa.
She leaves to mourn her passing her two daughters, Mabel White of Des Moines, and Myrtle M. Hiatt of Peru, Iowa, and also five grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and twelve great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Gone from the family circle is a kind and loving Mother.
Funeral services were held at the Leeper Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 21, with the Rev. L. Willard Reynolds officiating. Burial was in the Earlham cemetery.
