Mr. Taylor had lived in Adel the last 12 years. He was employed as care-taker of the city park in that community.
He was a native of Penn township, where he was born Oct. 5, 1885, a son of Mr. And Mrs. William R. Taylor. Most of his life was spent farming in Penn township.
He was a member of the Earlham Christian church for many years, later transferring to the Adel Christian church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna Taylor; two daughters, Mrs. Esther Leeper of Earlham and Mrs. Violet Eddy of Kansas City, Mo.; a son, Charles Taylor of Winterset; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. Mildred Price preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Monday from the Fisher Funeral home in Adel, with the Rev. Ray Barnett of the Adel Christian church officiating. Burial was made in the Earlham cemetery. --Winterset Madisonian, 1962
