Funeral services for Mrs. Isabel Jane
Ashley, 78, of Ashley corners three miles
north of Morris, who died Sunday night,
were held at 2:30 p.m. today at the First
Christian church in Morris with the Rev.
A.L. Porterfield, pastor of the First
Christian church.
Mrs. Ashley a pioneer of this section was
the widow of J.R. Ashley who died four
years ago. She had lived at the same
address of 28 years.
Surviving are four daughters. Mrs. Molly
Ballard, Mrs. Amanda McKinnon, Mrs, Hattie
Brian, and Mrs. Emma Jordan, of this
section. and three sons, J.T. Ashley,
George Ashley, and Dick Ashley, all of this
county. Nineteen Grandchildren and five
great grandchildren also are living.
