JESUP - Edna Rogers Strickland, 83, of Jesup died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002, in the Regional Medical Center in Brunswick.
The Wayne County native was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and the Susannah Wesley Sunday School Class and was a former clerk at the Landmark Motel. She was the widow of Norwood Strickland.
Survivors are a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Bill and Candy Jackson of Jesup; a daughter-in-law, Jean Jackson Pope of Jesup; three stepdaughters, Norma Jean Sanders of Charleston, S.C., and Barbara Jones and Charlene Harper, both of Brunswick; a sister, Sue Ellis of Jesup; seven step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, , six step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 19, from the Rinehart & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Walker and Ray Lane officiating.
Interment was in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Billy Keller, Bill Lane, Nathan Scarborough, Rodney Phillips, Keith Gunter and Josh Rowell.
