Edgerton - Mrs. Willard Babcock, 72, Rt. 1, died last night in Edgerton Memorial
Community Hospital after a long illness.The former Winifred Palmiter was born in the town of Albion Nov. 27, 1901, was graduated from Edgerton High School and was married to Willard Babcock Aug. 30, 1922. She was a nurse's aide in the Edgerton hospital for 20 years before retiring in 1963. She was a member of the Albion Seventh Day Baptist Church, it's Home Benefit Society and the Edgerton Woman's Federated Clubs.
Survivors are her husband; a son, Robert, Rt. 1; three daughters, Mrs. Betty
Saunders, Fort Atkinson, Mrs. Lois Hess, Edgerton, and Mrs. Janice Woerth,
Beloit; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mildred
Oakley, Janesville.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Albion Seventh Day Baptist Church,
with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Albion. Friends may call at the
Ellingson-Nygaard Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. A memorial will be established in her name.
