Edgerton - Mrs. Mildred 'Betty' Saunders, age 70, died Sat., Oct. 5, 1996 in Milwaukee. The daughter of Willard and Winifred (Palmiter) Babcock was born Nov. 13, 1925 in Edgerton. Her marriage with Herbert A. Saunders began on March 30, 1946 at Albion. She was a member of the Albion Seventh Day Baptist Church, and VFW Post #2708 Auxiliary. She was formerly employed with the Department of Revenue in Madison.
Loved survivors include 2 daughters, Wynifred Saunders of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, and Judy Saunders of Madison; 3 sons; Herbert of Greendale, Dale (Kathie) and David (Susan), both of Edgerton; 10 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lois (Kenneth) Hess of Edgerton, and Janice Woerth of Beloit; a brother, Robert (Joyce) Babcock of Edgerton; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1982; her son Keith in 1995; and a daughter-in-law, Debbie Saunders in 1993.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wed., Oct. 9, 1996, at Albion Seventh Day Baptist Church, with Rev. George Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation hours are from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Edgerton Funeral Home, 800 So. Main St., and from 10:00 a.m. until services on Wednesday at the church.
