Charles Albert Imler, born Aug 12, 1939 at (rear) 316 Newry St., Hollidaysburg, PA died May 18, 1953 near Antis. He is buried in Carson Valley Cemetery.

Death was caused due to electrocution by falling on a high powered electric line that belonged to the Home Electric Co., Tyrone, PA. The wire was an unused line with the end being down on the ground among brush making it difficult to see. The Parshall boy with Charles told us that they had gone down there to hunt for turtles and Charles came in contact with the wire. The State Police, the Deputy Coroner, and the Doctor were called to the scene of the accident and when the State Police touched one tree that was damp from the dew he was shocked and Charles's father didn't see the wire and he nearly stepped on it too. The State Policeman thought for the safety of all they should leave until the next morning due to darkness. The Home Electric Co., was notified to turn the power off in the line but instead of shutting the power off they came in some time before investigators returned the next morning and removed the wire. The Coroner's Inquest proved that the boy's death was caused by negligence of the Home Electric Light Co., of Tyrone , PA.
