FUNERAL SERVICES

The Funeral services of John S. Cozine will be held at the First Presbyterian Church at 2:30 o'clock today, in charge of Rev. David Winters, assisted by Chaplain Harmon. Friends and comrades of the G. A.R. are invited to be present with conveyances.

Special Order No. 1.

It in accordance with the by-laws of the post, it is the imperative duty of all comrades to attend the funeral of a deceased comrade when officially notified, sickness being the only valid excuse for failing to do so.

In pursuance thereof, all comrades of Garfield Post are hereby notified to attend the funeral of our late comrade, John S. Cozine, at the Presbyterian Church, at 2 o'clock p.m. this day.

The following comrades are hereby detailed as pall bearers and will report at the family residence of deceased, 227 North Market, At 1:15 p.m. sharp: W. N. Caswell, George W. Ebey, F. J. Arnold, M.S. Rochelle, George W. Larimer, John A Doran, W. W. Sweet, J. J. Williams.

He enlisted 3 October 1861 as a Sergeant 1st class in Co E, 10th Infantry Regiment Kentucky on 21 Nov 1861; promoted to Full Lieutenant 2nd class on 22 Sept 1863; mustered out on 6 Dec 1864 in Louisville as Capt.
