Sabra Coulter, daughter of Rowan Coulter and Sabra Morgan Coulter, married first about 1881 in Anderson County, Kentucky to Captain John S. Cozine. Capt Cozine bought a house and lot in Lawrenceburg KY on the east side of Main in May 1881. They had three children:

While they were visiting Sabra's sister in Wichita, Sedgwick Co, Kansas in 1891, Capt. Cozine died.
Sabra is listed in the Louisville city directory of 1893 to 1895 at 232 Guthrie, as the widow of John S Cozine.
By the 1900 census she is living with the Cranfields in Canadian County Oklahoma. The next year she married Lyman S. Shepherd and they homesteaded a farm in Canadian County, Oklahoma. Lyman and Sabra had a baby born 1904 in Oklahoma Territory, but the baby died. Sabra would have been 46 years old.
