Mrs. Oye Marie Hamilton, age 82, of Plantation, Florida, died Saturday, May 31 at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Florida. Funeral services were held Thursday, June 5 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Houston Cemetery with Minister Ralph Austin officiating.
Mrs. Hamilton was born in Saltillo and was a homemaker. She was the widow of the late John Hamilton and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include three sons, Clinton D Hamilton of Plantation, Florida, John W Hamilton and Raymond E Hamilton, both of Tampa, Florida; her step-mother, Mrs. May Bell Whitaker of Houston; one half-brother, C F Whitaker of Little Rock, Arkansas, nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bobby Gilbert, Howard White, Douglas Langley, Bo Young, Danny Dow and Bob Chase.
Memorial Funeral Home of Houston was in charge of arrangements.
