Abraham was the son of Solomon CRIPE (1814-1889) and Margaret Rebecca HUFFORD (1815-1896). His siblings were Noah, John, Elizabeth, Joseph, Catharine, Sarah, and Isaac. Abraham married Anna Cripe on November 21, 1872, in Clinton County, Indiana, and they were the parents of James Henry Cripe (1876-1969) who married 1st Halla D. SCOTT (b. 1881) and 2nd Arina.
According to an undated, old gravewalker's cemetery list, Abraham's burial site was the fourth in a row that had first his mother (Margaret, d. Apr 28, 1886), next his father (Solomon, d. Dec. 23, 1889), next his brother Joseph (d. Jan. 24, 1889); then Abraham's burial site.
