SUNRAY - Bobbie Kinzy, 88, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, in Lubbock.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Martin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lane Memorial Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors.

Bobbie Kinzy was born March 15, 1920, in Atoka, Okla., to George and Alice French. In 1935, she married Houston M. Kinzy in Wetumka, Okla. He preceded her in death in 1978.

She was the cafeteria manager for Sunray schools for 35 years before her retirement. She had been a resident of Sunray since 1946 and was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Sunray.

She also was preceded in death by a son, Marvin Dale Kinzy, in 1998.

Survivors include a daughter, Virginia A. Dobbs and husband Dwain of Hobbs, N.M.; a son, Bill J. Kinzy and wife Emily of Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister, Dorothy Warren and husband Norvell of Oklahoma City; a daughter-in-law, Patsy J. Kinzy of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Bible Baptist Church, P.O. Box 570, Sunray, TX 79086.
