George Schleiger, 93, of Berthoud, died Dec. 22, 2001, at Berthoud Living Center in Berthoud.
He was born June 20, 1908, in Berthoud to John Schleiger Sr. and Margaret Kaiser Schleiger. He attended Berthoud schools. He married Maggie Adler on Dec. 18, 1933, in Berthoud. She preceded him in death on Aug. 9, 2000.
Mr. Schleiger farmed east of Berthoud for more than 40 years. He retired in 1973 and they moved into Berthoud.
He was a member of the Berthoud First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, flower and vegetable gardening and sports. He and his wife worked together and enjoyed watching the Lawrence Welk show together. ... He was preceded in death by six brothers, Adam, Conrad, Henry, John, Louis and Manuel Schleiger, and a sister, Katherine Adler. Viewing will be 1-4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home and Thursday at the church.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Berthoud First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Lowell Karnes and the Rev. Raymond Scott will officiate.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Berthoud.
