MOULTRIE — Beatrice "Bea" Kilgore Hamilton, 85, of Moultrie, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at the home of her daughter, Barbara H. Saturday, in Moultrie.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Jan. 31, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Randall Kennedy and Charlie Reese officiating.
Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memory Garden with Donald Bennett, Larry Kilgore, Douglas Kilgore, Roger Kilgore, Tom "Buddy" Kilgore and David Kilgore serving as pallbearers.
Born April 23, 1923, in Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late Polly Hart Kilgore and William Douglas Kilgore.
She was retired from Colquitt Regional Medical Center and was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Crestwood Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for 52 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus Hamilton; her brothers, William Kilgore, Harvey Kilgore, George Kilgore, and Tom Kilgore; and one sister, Ethel Kilgore.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara H. Saturday and husband Roy, and Peggy H. Welborn and husband Andy, all of Moultrie; sister, Dora Bennett Timms of Moultrie; two grandchildren, Lisa Renee Oscar and husband Pete of Clarksville, Ga., and Craig Lynn of Norman Park; two great-grandchildren, Marcus Lynn and Valarie Oscar; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
