DEATH OF DR. STREET. --It is our sad duty to announce the death of Dr. William H. Street. which occurred in Toronto on Saturday night, after less than two weeks illness, of typhoid fever. The Doctor was a native of Halton and for a number of years practiced his profession in Milton where he was very popular as a physcian and as a man. He removed from Milton to London about 13 years ago and about two years since went from that city to Detroit, whence he removed to Toronto a short time ago. He was a prominant member of the Masonic fraternity, being a past master of the St. Clair Lodge, No. 135, Milton, and also of Union Lodge, No. 380, London. He was one of the organizers of the Egyptian Rite of Memphis and Mizraim in Canada, and held office in that branch of the order. He leaves a wife and son to mourn his sudden death. Deaths and Funerals. Mrs. Street. The remains of Elizabeth Pettit, widow of the late Dr. W. H. Street were brought from Toronto to Oakville on Tuesday for burial. Mrs. Street was born in Trafalgar. She was a sister of the late Mrs. Duncan McGibbon, of Milton and Brampton. Her husband practiced here for some years and moved in the early 70's to London, where he died a few years later. The couple's only child , a son, John lives in Tennessee. Mrs Street was in Milton for some days about a year ago as the guest of Mrs Cartmer. SOURCE: Street, W.
