Charles Webster Griffith, 78, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs passed away on June 15, 2012. He was born in El Reno, Oklahoma on June 2, 1934 to the late Marion and Marie Griffith. Charles proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years. After military service, he spent twenty-five years working at Memorial Hospital and retired as director of Memorial Hospital's power plant. He was a ham radio operator enthusiast and passionate for aviation, antique automobiles and books. Above all, Charles was attentive and very involved with his cherished grandchildren. Charles is survived by 2 daughters, Dianna R. Hendricksen and Loree Griffith; 1 sister, Mary Lou; 3 brothers, James, Duffy and Donald; and 6 grandchildren, Cara, Jon, Jack, Chloe, Sophia and Luke. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Dianne. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Blunt Mortuary, 2229 W. Colorado Avenue, Colorado Springs. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Blunt Mortuary. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
