The sarch for McNulty was begun after his wife, alarmed because he failed to come to Prescott as expected, went to his cabin and found it deserted. According to the searchers, indications were that he left his cabin ten days ago and that when he left he wore slippers. He took his gun with hhim but left most of his clothing and money in the cabin. He was 58 years old.
The message telling of the finding of the body did not indicate how McNulty had met death.
