Spike was my son Tommy's dog he was a brindle Staffordshire Terrier and very unique, he stayed at Tom's side, would never leave the yard.

One evening I came home from work and found that silly dog swinging from a tree branch. His other crazy trick was to bounce the handle of the lawnmower up and down until Tom came to get him.

He was very loving to the family and those he considered family, but you had to let the person in the house or he was having no part of them.

One time when Tom was sick and running s very high temp. and had tumbled down the stairs Spike sat there licking Tom's face but would not let the Para Medics near him until Tom told the dog it was alright.

Spike was hit by a car when one of Tom's friends opened the door while they were messing around in the front lawn, Spike thought they were hurting Tom, he ran out and past them into the street,he was struck by a car, he had broken his spine and needed to be put down, even at the end when I know he was in so much pain he was still kind and gentle. I will never forget the look in his eyes as the medication was administered and he just closed his eyes for the last time.

He is missed.
