Marge was born in Joliet and resided at 414 E. Jackson Street while growing up. She was a lifelong resident.
Her first teaching job (1963-1964 school year) as a 21-year old was at St. Joseph's Grade School in Rockdale. She taught the 4th graders who graduated in 1968. The summer before she began her teaching career, she traveled the summer in Europe.
Marge retired as a secretary from Joliet Grade School District #86. She was an avid member of the Golden Girls, Cubs fan and a Notre Dame fan.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Louis, Jr.; one son, Damian (Patty) Bolognani; three daughters, Danielle (Don) Karcz, Jr., Nicole Bolognani, and Angela (Rodney) Smith all of Joliet; 10 grandchildren, Eric, Anthony, Brenna and Jianna Bolognani, Donald III and Justin Karcz, Jessica Schoen, Adrian Bolognani, Trenton and Frankie Smith; one sister, Charlene (Robert) O'Nell of Joliet. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Also Marge's best friend, Marilyn Egizio.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Helen Vercellotti.
Funeral services were held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Monday, February 9th at 9:30 A.M. to St. Jude Catholic Church at 10 A.M for a Mass of Christian Burial.
