Henry was a bugler in the 13th IL Cavalry, Co. F.
Was killed at Ironton, MO by the premature discharge of a 32-pound cannon, which he was assisting in firing in honor of the late Major General C. F. Smith. His body was sent home by the kindness of our friend, Geo. R. Dyer. E. P. Jepson of the company escorted it to Joliet. - W. Danforth, Capt., Co. F 13th IL Cavalry, Fort Hovey, Iron Co., O6 May.
