Samuel B. Webb was the 2nd child of Daniel Milton Webb and Ginnetty "Nettie" (House) Webb & grandson of William Webb & Sallie (Siebert) Webb. Samuel B.'s mother died when he was 4 months old and he was nursed by his grandmother, Sallie (Siebert) Webb who was at the time nursing her own newborn child Owen Webb. Samuel's father remarried and had 9 more children.
Samuel B. was living in Jewell Co., Kansas when he married his first wife, Cora Essie White on 6 Sep 1911 at Hebron, Thayer, Nebraska. She was the d/o William Uriah White and Rosa Anna Carr. They were living in Nuckolls, Hardy, Nebraska in 1920 & 1930. They later divorced. Samuel & Cora had 8 children; Opal Irene, Jack Archie, Arlene Gayle, Tina Marie, Wilson Uriah, Arlo Beth, Ardyce Jean and Leslie Arlan.
Samuel's second wife was Ulpiana Bascaran, born 1910 in Havana, Cuba. They had 2 children; Nettie Helen & Daniel Webb, both born in Cuba.
Samuel's third wife was Ernestina (DeLa Torre)Gutterez, born 1901 in Havana, Cuba and died in 1969. They had two children; Lucy and Samuel E. Webb.
Both Lucy and Samuel E. became a well known horse trainers. Samuel E. was a farmer and horse trainer in Middleway, Jefferson Co., West Virginia. He handled horses throughout the East, in Cuba and in Canada. He was a fixture at the local Charles Town Races where he had stabled horses.
Funeral services were held at St. James Catholic church in Charles Town with burial in Middleway Masonic Cemetery.
He was survived by his third wife Ernestina and 11 children, 22 grandchildren, 5 sisters and 3 brothers.
Samuel's sister Lucy was born 8 March 1946 and died 6 Feb 2012 at age 65. She was a horse trainer and member of the Charles Town Horseman's Benevolent Protective Assoc. She was preceded in death by her son Joseph Franklin Virts, Jr.
