Ray Dewey Collis
Ray Dewey Collis age 78, of Altapass Rd Spruce Pine, NC passed away February 8, 2009 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital.
He was the son of the late Dewey and Allie Dale Collis and a native of Mitchell County, NC. He served in the United States Army, and was the Owner and Operator of Collis Construction Company. He was a member of Grassy Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include; son, Tim Collis and wife Donna of Spruce Pine, NC, one daughter, Karen Collis also of Spruce Pine, NC, one brother, Johnny Collis, of Wilmington, NC, sisters, Marie Collis Glenn, of Spruce Pine, NC, Nell Collis Howell, of Spruce Pine, NC, and Doris Collis Pittman, of Mt. Holly, NC, four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 11 at 8:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Larry Greene officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
Interment will be Thursday, February 12 at 11:00AM at Grassy Creek Memorial Cemetery.
