Jo Marie Lego, Bellmeade Manor, formerly of 702 7th st., Altoona, died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at the manor. She was the daughter of Antonio & Maria (Lombardi) Carmosino. She married James R. Lego, Sr., Nov. 20, 1938, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and he died June 3, 1964. Mrs. Lego was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Secular Franciscan Fraternity. She was the owner/operator of Jo Marie's Beauty Salon for more than 40 years. Mrs. Lego enjoyed volunteering at Altoona Hospital in nursing care and for the Blair Senior Services Companion Program. Survived by son, James R. Lego, Jr., of Tyrone; 6 grandchildren: Joe, Jim and Jennifer Noll and Jamie, Tim and Christy; 4 gr. grandchildren: Dillon and Corbin Lego and Madison and Cameron Noll; sisters: Theresa Peo of Altoona and Angie Varrato of Ellwood, PA and many nieces and nephews. Predceased by many siblings. Friends will be received from 6-9 p.m. today at Santella Funeral Home where a vigil for the deceased will be held and a Secular Franciscan wake service will be at 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Committal, Calvary Cemetery.
