A SAD DEATH - One of the saddest deaths that has occurred in Arlington for a long time took place last Friday night when the spirit of Mrs. Mahaney, beloved wife of Mr. F. W. Mahaney, passed out of this world into the realms of the Great Beyond. Deceased was taken to Fort Worth the former part of the week to undergo a surgical operation. The operation was performed and death resulted two days later.

Mrs. Mahaney was a good Christian lady, loved and esteemed by all who knew her, and her death was a great shock to the entire community. The funeral services were conducted at 9 o'clock Monday morning and the remains were laid tenderly to rest in the Arlington cemetery. To the grief-burdened husband, relatives and friends The Journal extends heart-felt sympathy and condolence.
