Addie Lou Godfrey was born June 25, 1910 in Lamar Co., AL to James Albert & Ethel Mae Price Godfrey. She married Charlie Sylvester Moore Aug 21, 1929 in Columbus, MS at the Lowndes County Courthouse. She worked along side him no matter what the chore was. In the fields picking cotton or pulling corn or even plowing the mule back before he had a tractor. They grew a garden big enough to feed all the neighbors. Up at dawn and work until dark.

There were four children blessed to have them for parents. Mae Ellen Moore , Charlie Faye Moore, Frank Dean Moore and Helen Dorris Moore.

Addie Lou had a true servant's heart. She took care of everybody.

The sweetest and dearest Mother a child could have and always a friend to everyone. "Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her." Proverbs 31:28
