He served with the 18th Aircraft Maintenance Unit in the Pacific. When the War ended, he moved to Silver Spring, MD. He worked 35 years with the Naval Ordinance Laboratory in White Oak, MD. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and WOLAA, Inc.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Judith & John Strange of Alabama; daughter, Peggy Crabtree of New Jersey; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Ken & Theresa Jarman and Dan & Joy Jarman, all of Maryland, and Michael Jarman of Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Alton & Ruth Jarman of Maryland; sister, Mary Louise Blake of North Carolina; grandchildren, John & Michael Strange, and Patricia & Kenneth Jarman, and Colleen, Ariel, & Mariah, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary & John L. Jarman, and a brother, James M. Jarman.
Interment followed funeral services conducted Tuesday, February 26, 2008.
