Allen Edward Anderson went home free to a Jesus celebration to join the treasures of the Lord who had gone before him February 17, 2009.

He was a son of the late James Calvin Anderson and Mamie Coward Anderson.

Mr. Anderson honorably served his country in WWII as a U.S. Navy SeaBee. Married his love, Evelina Powell on April 26th in 1946 and retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard as a metal inspector.

He is survived by his precious wife of 62 years, Evelina Powell Anderson of North Charleston; brother, Samuel Anderson and wife Sylvia of Williston, SC; daughter, Vivian Pope and husband Roger of Summerville; grandchildren, Laura Mackley and husband Jimmy, Lisa Irvine and husband David all of North Charleston and Allen Lee Meyer and wife Kimberly of Summerville; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Ralph Anderson, Vinnie Thibodeau, Ruby Cole and Elma Backus.
