Catherine Evans resided most of her life in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Kenner. She escaped Hurricane Katrina in August 2005, and moved from Kenner to live with her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Shelley Evans, at their home in Bethany.
Catherine Evans, a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, was an accomplished pianist and organist, who also played the violin and xylophone and had a beautiful singing voice.
Catherine Evans is survived by her son, Charles A. Evans her daughters, Ruth E. Evans, Mary Catherine Prudhomme, and Esther E. Crossland her eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are being made by the John M. Ireland Funeral Home in Moore, OK, for funeral and burial services at Roselawn in Baton Rouge, LA.
