Macedonia Baptist Church rites were held February 25 at 11 o'clock in the morning for Mrs. Carrie V. Scarborough who died at her Meigs residence on February 23.  Rev. Wallace Little officiated with interment in the Macedonia Cemetery.
Mrs. Scarborough was born in Echols County on November 16, 1874, the daughter of the late Henry and Laura L. Vining (Elvina) Vick.  She was married to the late George Scarborough.
One son survives, G. O. Scarborough of Largo, Fla.; five daughters, Mrs. Ollie Coleman of Ft. Myers, Fla; Mrs. Lottie Gandy of Meigs; Mrs. Lorene Clemons of La Belle, Fla.; Mrs. J. W. Luke of Orlando, Fla.; and Mrs. D. B. Cannon of Pavo, Ga.  Nineteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren survive.
Pallbearers were Douglas Summerford,Irvin Alligood, Horace Alligood, James Carter, Willie Boutwell, and John Mercer Roberts.  Braswell Funeral Home in charge.
