MARY, eldest daughter of Degory Priest & Sarah (Allerton) Vincent Priest Godbertson, was born say 1612. She married by about 1630 PHINEAS PRATT. She died 1 Jan 1670/71.

Mary Priest born about 1613 in Leyden, Holland, daughter of Degory Priest, who married in Nov 1611 widow Sarah Vincent. Sarah was married three times (Vincent, Priest, Godbertson). Degory Priest left his family in Holland to bring them over later, but his death changed that plan.
The mother Sarah Priest remarried to Godbert Godbertson and came to America aboard the ship "Anne "with their family.
The Ship "Anne "arrived in Plymouth in July, 1623, accompanied by the Little James, bringing new settlers and many of the wives and children that had been left behind in Leyden, Holland, when the Mayflower departed in 1620. Degory Priest arrived on the Mayflower, but died aboard ship of an illness and was taken inland to be buried at Cole's Hill in Plymouth.
Mary and her sister Sarah Priest lived with the mother and stepfather in the Plymouth Colony. Their parents both later died of small pox in 1633. Sister Sarah married John Coombs/Combs and Mary married Phineas Pratt about 1630 in Plymouth, Mass. (according to land records) At the time of the death of their parents. The two girls' husbands "inherited the parents goods and chattels "
Phineas Pratt arrived on the ship "Sparrow" and was part of the Weston Settlements. He has an adventurous life, many stories written about him and the early colonial days. He was a joiner , maker of woods(The biography written by Rodney MacDonough-Hackstaff) (Generations Project of the Mayflower Descendants) (The Great Migrations Begins Vol. 3) (The Mayflower Reader , Phineas Pratt of Plymouth and Charleston) and so many more. A great read wonderful history.
Phineas and Mary settled in a home in Plymouth and raised eight children. It was on the Joanes River with garden, meadows and orchards. They later sold this land about 1646-1648 and moved to a nice home in Charlestown, Mass. located on Charles River with house and gardens where they lived out their lives. Phineas died first in 1680 leaving a will naming his wife and son Joseph who inherited the property and Mary was left to live on til her death in July of 1689. This land was near Bunker Hill area. Later land sells mention all of Phineas Pratt's children. Mary burial site is unknown.
