She was born in Wood County, WV, a daughter of the late John William and Mary Oakley McHenry Deem. She was a former member of the Seventh Street United Methodist Church and was a retired LPN from St. Joseph's Hospital. Following her retirement, she had worked in several private homes.
She is survived by one son, Roy Edgar Hoyler of Parkersburg; four daughters, Norma Jean Vail of St. Charles, MO, Billie Ruth Hall of Warrenton, MO., Mary Frances Wiggins of Marietta and Vivian L. Long of Parkersburg; one brother, Fred C. Deem of Parkersburg; three sisters, Ruth Pearson of Parkersburg, Frances E. Summers of Little Hocking, Ohio, and Lena Rice of Belpre; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother.
Services will be Friday, 11 AM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Connie Dickens officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
