Miss Flora Emm Clarke, 22, died December 28, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Clarke, of the Figsboro community after a lingering illness of two years. Funeral services were held the following Sunday from Clarke residence. Interment was in the Camp Branch Cemetery. Survivors are her parents; two brothers, Homer and James; two sisters, Christine and Mrs. Bessie Meadows of Princeton, W. Va. Miss Clarke was the telephone operator at Figsboro for a number of years. Among those attending the funeral from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. L. C Ayers and daughters Maxine and Myrel, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph McGee and Curtis Ayers of Roanoke, Mrs. Clara Meadows and Mrs. Lillian Meadows of Princeton, W. Va., as well as a number of friends and relatives from Martinsville.
