AYNOR: Linsey M. Gasque, 95, wife of the late Gordon Gasque, of Hughes-Gasque Road, died Monday, January 19, 2009 at her residence.

Mrs. Gasque was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Morgan Gasque and Martha Martin. She was the oldest member of Bakers Chapel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Gasque was predeceased by one son, Troy Gasque, two daughters, Elberteen Gasque and Estellene Gasque; one brother, Oscar Martin; and two sisters, Mary Rabon and Effie Barnhill .

Surviving are five daughters, Doretha Lewis of Conway, Estelle Alford, Bernice Hewett and her husband, James, and Elise Richardson all of Aynor, and Louise Martin and her husband, Herbert, of Summerville; one son, Roy Gasque and his wife, Doris, of Aynor; one daughter-in-law, Miriam Gasque of Aynor; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and her special caregiver, Mary Jane Tindall.

Funeral services will held 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2009 in Bakers Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at the funeral home.
