CLARK, Lulu COOPER - The remains of Mrs. Ernest Clark, who died at her home in Slaton, Texas June 25, were laid to rest in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery Monday afternoon. Mrs. Clark was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Cooper and was born and reared and lived most of her life in this community. Her aged mother, her husband, son and sister, Mrs. J.L. Buxton, and Mr. Buxton and nephew, Ray Hubby, accompanied the corpse from Slaton. Elder C.M. Day conducted the funeral services. Funeral services were held at the family home near Hiwasse on Tuesday afternoon, June 30th, 1925 for Mrs. Ernest Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Cooper, who died on Thursday of last week at her home in Slater {sic}, Texas, after illness of several months. She was about 30 years of age. Besides her parents she is survived by her husband, a small son and several brothers and sisters, including Mrs. John R. Duty of Rogers. She was born and grew to womanhood near Hiwasse. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Day, pastor of the Christian church. The body was brought from Rogers by Undertaker A.D. Callison and was accompanied by six car loads of relatives and friends. Interment was made in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
