Florabelle Bohaychick, 83, of Lower Burrell, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at Belair Nursing and Rehab Center, Lower Burrell. Born Sept. 24, 1925, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna Martin Whigham, and was a Lower Burrell resident since 1951.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and staying in touch with her family. She also enjoyed working crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her children, John (Dianne Piotrowski) Bohaychick Jr., of Allegheny Township, Neil M. Bohaychick, of Lower Burrell, and Karen L. (James) Bennis, with whom she lived the past 15 years, also of Lower Burrell; her grandchildren, Lisa (Rob) Stoebener, Ashley and Taylor Bohaychick, and Jarod and Joshua Bennis; and siblings, Patricia DeLuca, of Plum Borough, Donald Whigham, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Dale Whigham, of New Kensington, and Neil Whigham, of Bentleyville.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Bohaychick, who died Jan. 29, 1991; and siblings, John "Jack" Whigham, Edward Whigham, Woodrow Wilson Whigham, Vada Whigham, Irma Jean Prefling and Faith Whigham in childhood.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME, New Kensington. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to time of service at 1:30 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Colin Yuckman, pastor of United Presbyterian Church, of New Kensington, will preside.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
