Printed billhead for Dr. C.A. Harris, N.E. corner of Charles & Lexington Streets, [Baltimore] with a listing of professional services and prices. The hand written lower portion is dated 1849 and is a bill for $27 to a Mr. Carr for services rendered over 3 days in April & May. Signed as receiving payment by C.A. Harris. (Swanson Archives, ex Cohen, ex Krimmer collections)

Sesquicentennial medallion of the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, The Pioneer of Dental Education. Dr. Chapin A. Harris is depicted on the right as a co-founder of the first dental school in the world along with Dr. Horace H. Hayden on the left. The medallion was struck in bronze by Medallic Art of Danbury, Connecticut in 1989 for the 1990 celebration.

Reverse side of the sesquicentennial medallion with the full OFFICIAL name of the school as it is today - Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, Dental School, University of Baltimore.

The reverse of the medallion depicts the Sesquicentennial seal. Like the emblem of dentistry from which it is derived, the design uses a serpent entwined about an ancient Arabian cautery in the manner of the single serpent of Aesculapius, the Greek god of medicine. The serpent is anchored about the Greek letter delta, for dentistry, which in intertwined with a circle representing the oral health care team. In the foreground is a shield bearing the standard of the Maryland flag.
