She died in her sleep at the home of her son Stephen Griffin in Pekin. Just prior to that she made her home with son Charles Griffin in Havana. Daughter Cinderella "Rella", widow of David Richards and wife of Joseph Marion Sampson since 1903, was residing in Springfield. One of two obituaries stated the whereabouts of son Bert were unknown, while he was not mentioned in the other obituary. Her husband was not mentioned in either obituary.
